Portia Moyo

Portia has over 20 years of progressive experience (locally and the rest of Africa) in  executive search, talent and leadership development, learning and development, organisational development and business development. In the course of her career she has worked in the education, advertising, human resources and financial services industries. She is currently a Partner with Ndosi ka Magaye  Search Partners .

Before this she was a Principal at Pedersen & Partners , a global Executive Search company. Prior to joining Pedersen & Partners, Ms. Moyo was the Lead Partner for a South African professional services firm specialising in Executive Search, where her search mandate portfolio included placements for C-Suite roles such as CFO, COO, HRD, and Chief Digital Officer in various sectors, with a focus on the financial industry. Earlier in her career, she spent four years with Absa Group Limited, a South Africa-based financial services group, where she led, managed, and championed the company’s employee participation strategy and programmes across Africa.

Ms. Moyo holds a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa, and has completed the Strategic Leadership Programme at  GIBS, University of Pretoria. In addition to her native Ndebele and Zulu, Ms. Moyo is fluent in English and can communicate in French. She has written a number of articles on leadership for some of South Africa’s top business publications, such as Business Day and The Sunday Times.

Sifiso Cele

Sifiso Cele has over 24 years in Human Capital the majority of which have been in Leadership positions at an Executive Level. His last employment was with Absa Bank Limited, as an HR Executive.

Previously, he was employed by the Liberty Group as an HR Director for STANLIB Limited. Within the Liberty Group, Sifiso also held Head of HR roles for both Liberty Corporate and Liberty Health. Before joining the Liberty Group, he was employed as the Head of Talent Sourcing and Selection for Absa Corporate & Business Bank. Among others, Sifiso has worked for Standard Bank, ABI and Unilever.

Sifiso holds an MBA and a Global Executive Development Programmme (GEDP), both from Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), a Post-graduate Diploma in Business Management from UKZN, an Honours degree in Industrial Sociology, a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Industrial Sociology & Organisational Psychology, both from UCT.

Sifiso held positions of  Non-Executive Director (NED), a board member, for the City of Johannesburg, under the Joburg Market and a REMSET member for the same entity. He is currently a Non-Executive Trustee Board member (Human Capital and Remuneration Committee member) with the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) as well as currently the REMCO member with the Auditor General of South Africa.

Sifiso is currently completing his PHD in Business Management Studies with the University of Johannesburg.
